We did it!
On one day,
650 VOLUNTEERS
came together to
SERVE 56,000 PEOPLE!
Thank you so very much for sharing the gift of your hands and hearts [on August 7, 2010] to help clean up our parks, build a playground and enjoy getting to know one another!
United Methodist Metro Ministry, along with our partners – United Methodist Communications, the City of Grand Rapids, Friends of Grand Rapids Parks, Garfield Park Neighborhoods Association and KaBOOM! – are thrilled to have hosted an event that turned out to be so positive and productive.
We are all truly grateful to have shared with you the joy of community building through community service.
Thanks again for lending a hand!
With much gratitude,
Julie Dix
P.S. If you were part of the playground build, KaBOOM! invites you to participate in a brief survey to tell them a bit about your experience. To take part, go to http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/cityofgrandrapids.
